Almost halfway through December already and many of us will be thinking back on 2024 and having New Year’s resolutions in mind. Out top tip for revisiting the year: focus on your wins rather than regrets you may have. And when you choose your goals for next year (if you do!), make them achievable rather than daunting, so you don’t potentially disappoint yourself, if you feel like you’re falling short of reaching them. Bassanti’s focus next year will be on 1) yoga science training and 2) executive education, so that C-suite level buy-in will ensure our wellbeing programmes are as effective as they can be in optimising employees’ brains and health. Lastly, and most importantly, she will focus on self-care to practise what she preaches, so she’ll be singing, golfing and writing more. ☺️

Speaking of the New Year, wouldn’t you just love to beat the dreaded post-holiday blues with something super-uplifting? How about this: a “Laughter Yoga” session. Fake it till you make it with those deep belly laughs, they are guaranteed to create a cocktail of happy hormones to beat Blue Monday. So on the 20th of January (or any other dull day in January) choose “fun and laughter” over “grey and miserable”. Want to book us or find out more? Come on, you know you want to 🤣

You may have heard of ideasUK, a not-for-profit organisation that helps companies achieve innovation goals, improving business processes and employee engagement. If you’re a member, tune in to Bassanti’s talk on the 14th of January at 10 am. She’ll be diving into the topic of “meditation for peak performance” and how to find the best meditation for you and your team, based on what their needs are. (Hint: if your aim is to improve your staff’s working memory, choose a programme focusing on mindfulness, whereas if your team struggles to get along, choose meditation interventions that improve empathetic concern.)

And of course if you’re not an ideasUK member, you can book us for a bespoke expert talk in your office or have a free discovery call to find out which of our programmes is best suited for you. 🧘‍♂️

That’s it from us for the year. Wow, 2024 went by quickly! Happy holidays, everyone. Be happy and healthy, and remember: “There is no way to happiness. Happiness is the way.” — Thich Nhat Hanh
