Are you at home feeling stressed and unfit?
Fear not – you’re halfway to feeling healthy and happy again. Bassanti’s yoga and meditation classes will make you feel good in body and spirit, no matter what’s going on around you.

Hatha Yoga
In Hatha Yoga, we hold poses for a long time so that we’re warming and stretching our muscles safely and slowly in order to increase strength and flexibility as well as calm our nervous system and increase our breath awareness.

Vinyasa Yoga
In Vinyasa Yoga, we add movement to our strength and flexibility training, synchronising our breath with a sequence of postures to flow smoothly.

Yin Yoga
Yin is slow and meditative: we spend 3-5 minutes in each — seated or lying down — pose to release mental tension and stretch our muscles and fascia (the connective tissue which needs longer holds).

Frequently Asked Questions
How do these live Zoom classes work?
Our livestream classes are taking place via Zoom (which you can download and use for free on your phone or laptop — for best viewing, connect to your TV).
What happens once I've booked a class?
Once booked, you will receive a link to join our virtual class.
What happens on the day of the class?
Click on the link you’ve received in your confirmation email. If it’s your first time and/or you want to discuss any issues or injuries, we advise joining a few minutes before the class starts.
What happens if I'm late or miss the class?
If you’re late, unfortunately you might not be let into the class anymore, and while there are no refunds, if you’ve missed the class you’ve booked for, you can get in touch with us to have it changed to another date and time.
How can I cancel a class?
Please note that all our sales are final, however if you’d like to reschedule to a different class, you can get in touch with us and we’ll try and find you a space on another date/time.
I haven't received a link to the class yet. What can I do?
If you haven’t received an automatic email with Zoom link and password, check your spam or promotions folder and if you still can’t find the email, get in touch with us (contact@pathak-yoga.com) at least 30 minutes before the class, so we have enough time to sort this out. Please note that a few minutes before the session start, I won’t be able to help anymore.
I’m a beginner, can I take part?
You absolutely can. If you have a look at the descriptions of the different styles, you’ll probably have a preference for a particular one. Yin Yoga is a great way to start as it focuses on long-held stretches and it’s easy to follow. Hatha Yoga where we hold poses for long, gives you the option of coming out of a pose and going back in whenever you’re ready. Vinyasa Yoga can be the more challenging class for a beginner, as we flow through different postures, so you need to be quick on your toes if they’re all new to you, but if you choose this as your first yoga class ever, let me know it’s your first time and I’ll take extra care to do a slow and easy flow with lots of descriptions instead of inundating you with asana names you’ll never have heard of.
What do I need for my class?
All you need to join is a working internet connection, a mat and some comfortable clothing that allows you to move. For Yin Yoga, you may want to have warm clothes, socks and a blanket, as our body slows down and we get colder. For the other yoga classes, we practise barefoot so we don’t slide on the mat. You may wish to use straps, belts, blocks (or books) for some poses but you’ll be absolutely fine without any props. In Yin Yoga, a bolster or pillow might come in handy, too. But again, if you don’t have any of these things, don’t panic, you’re good without. And last but not least, it’s best not to eat a heavy meal one to two hours before the session.
I’m looking to book live online classes for my employees. How do I best do this?
You can use our online booking system to book your employees into any of our existing classes. However, most companies prefer bespoke classes for just their team rather than mixing with external people, and classes which let them choose the time of day. So if you’d like a session catered to your employees, then do call or email us to find out more and set up a session / sessions exclusively for you. We have corporate packages in which you can combine any of our services which might be more suitable for you than individual classes of just one style.
